Help & advice

Are you a victim of a hate crime or racist incident, or are a witness to one? Report it.

Reporting any hate crimes or incidents is key to stamping them out in your local area.

There are five different ways of doing so.

  1. In an emergency: Call 999 or 112
  2. Contact your local police force: This can be totally anonymous. You do not have to give away your personal details, but it is always best to give the police as much information as possible in order to track down offenders.
  3. Report online: You can report  hate crimes and incidents online at TrueVision.
  4. Third-party reporting centres: Local agencies such as the Citizens Advice Bureau, community voluntary services and Stop Hate UK can also report the incident on your behalf and provide you with advice and support.
  5. Crimestoppers: You can still report a hate crime by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or via their website at www.crimestoppers-uk.org. It is free to call.
